Policy in Regards to Using the Space
The EVC station will present a full charge in a maximum of 4 hours. We ask that individuals please move their car once it has received a full charge in order for other individuals to have access to the spaces.
The spaces are not to be used by a vehicle that does not need electric charging, nor should they be occupied by a car that possesses a full charge.
Additionally, the spaces are not to be used as a location for loading/unloading or as a place for visitors to wait for passenger pick-up/drop-off. There will be a parking fee for use of the space.
The chart below illustrates charging options available depending on the lot location and whether the user is a permit holder or a visitor. The units installed around campus are different from one another and carry different charging capabilities.

Enforcement
Enforcement
When a car is parking and charging in the EVC station in lot B for example, a notice comes up on the screen displaying “charging in progress” with the time of how long it has been charging. There will be a maximum stay time of 4 hours at each charging station. If a customer stays longer than the maximum allotted time, a warning citation will be issued for first offence. All subsequent citations will carry a $30.00 fine amount for “exceeding maximum stay.” The EVC stations in the L.R. Wilson do not display a time limit, only lights when charging. In order to monitor these stations, a parking officer will go into the underground parking lot, check the vehicles charging, and chalk the time. If a customer stays longer than the maximum allotted time they will be issued a citation for “exceeding maximum stay.”
