Parking Winter 2022 Update

McMaster’s Parking Services Team is excited to welcome more community members to campus this winter. In anticipation, flexible parking pass options will continue to be available for the winter term. Parking pass fees were reinstated in the fall of 2021 and will continue moving forward.

Parking passes for the winter term will go on sale online on Dec 1 for students and mid-December for all staff and faculty.

Staff Permits

Returning to Campus in Jan 2022

You can reactivate your parking by choosing either a full time or part time parking permit as follows:

Part time Parking Permit

Staff and faculty members can choose a part-time parking pass during the Winter term that includes twelve visits to campus per month. Part-time passes are offered at a reduced rate, for details please visit: Part Time Permits

The part-time parking pass option will be available until April 30th 2022. For the Spring of 2022, this option will be reassessed and communicated.

To apply for a part time parking permit, please email parking@mcmaster.ca

Full-time Parking Pass

Staff and faculty members with a parking pass can choose to re-instate their full-time parking pass for the lot they parked in.

To apply for a full time parking permit, please email parking@mcmaster.ca

If you need to change your parking pass option during the Winter term, our team would be happy to assist you. Please contact us at parking@mcmaster.ca

Not Returning to Campus in Jan 2022
Continue to Place Your Parking Pass On Hold

The option for placing a hold on your parking pass will continue to be available until April 30th 2021. For the Spring of 2022, these options will be reassessed and communicated.

If you previously placed your parking permit on hold for the fall term and do not need on site parking for January 2022, you can continue the hold on your parking permit during which time you do not need to pay for parking. No action is required on your part for this.

If you need to reactivate your parking permit sometime during the winter term, the information listed in the section above will apply to you.

If you do not require any change to your parking arrangements, no further action is required on your part.

Staff and faculty members who did not hold a parking pass previously can apply online for pass in the Ward Avenue. Both full-time and part-time passes are available. A part-time pass provides twelve visits to campus every month. For more information, please email parking@mcmaster.ca
