Event Related Information

We ask that you provide as with as much detail as possible, this will enable us to provide you with the best service possible. Details would include, number of vehicles attending, the quantity and type of vouchers required, payment method,drop off and pick up locations, request for parking staff for traffic direction. Please note we ask that you specify the lot you wish to obtain parking in however we may or may not be able to accommodate your request as parking is assigned based on availability and may be subject to different rates in different lots.

We categorize requests into two different types, event parking and non-event parking. Details can be found below.

Event Parking

To apply for special event parking please fill out our online event parking McMaster Parking Event Request Form (see bottom of page for the instructions).

Please note if you are looking for conference parking, please do not complete this form and contact Conference and Event Services directly and they will be happy to assist you.

Non Event Voucher Requests

To apply, please fill out our online voucher request McMaster Parking Non Event Request Form (see bottom of page for the instructions). This form is intended for the purpose of covering parking for visits to campus by employees/ guests/ consultants etc. where the number of people visiting or the dates and times of visit are not known in advance. Please specify the dates and times your event is taking place in advance on the email.

We require 5 business days to process all requests.

After your request has been processed you will be notified and we will specify the location for pick up. The parking office is located:

Upon pick up of any requested tickets an authorization signature of receipt will be required.

Instructions for Parking Voucher Usage

Validation Tickets

  • Attend pay station; insert ticket obtained on entry or press ‘Lost Ticket’.
  • Wait for Pay Station to display amount owing on screen
  • Insert the ’Validation’ Ticket
  • Take validated entry ticket with you and insert at the exit gate

Exit Tickets

  • Go to the exit gate
  • Insert ’Exit’ ticket (Do not insert entry ticket)
  • Wait for gate arm to raise
  • Proceed and exit lot

Rebate Tickets

  • Attend pay station; insert ticket obtained on entry or press ‘Lost Ticket’.
  • Wait for Pay Station to display amount owing on screen
  • Insert a single ‘Rebate’ Ticket and wait for the balance to update
  • Repeat with additional rebate tickets, or pay any remaining balance by debit, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express)
  • Take validated entry ticket with you and insert at exit gate

Voucher Refund Policy

Refunds are not available for expired vouchers and vouchers returned one year after the original purchase date.

An administration fee will be charged for processing refunds for returned unused vouchers. This fee will be based on the quantity returned as follows:
