  • To get an accessible parking permit, you must first follow the instructions found on the How to Pay for Parking Page and purchase a regular parking permit. To convert this into an accessible permit, email parking@mcmaster.ca with all relevant information and proof of MTO permit.
  • For short-term parking, fees and current rates still apply. For more details, visit the Daily Parking Page.
  • A valid MTO Accessible Permit permit must be displayed on your dashboard. For more information visit the MTO Accessible Parking Permit Site.
  • The symbol below will be on signs and parking spaces designated for accessible parking.

Where to Park and Evidence of Need

Where to Park

  • McMaster Accessible transponder holders are allowed to park in all gated lots on campus, except 24-hour reserved parking spaces, Lot Q, Underground Wilson Hall, and Lot A at all times unless by special permission.
  • If you require access to these lots please request by sending us an email to parking@mcmaster.ca.

Evidence of Need

  • Members of the university community with a valid Ministry of Transportation Parking Permit or any other valid Provincial, Territorial or State Permit/Licence will be afforded primary consideration for parking. A copy of this evidence is required for our records. Such persons will be issued an accessible hang-tag to be used in conjunction with their transponder.
